We recently found this original of a piece I did 30 years ago. Wife and I ( Libby ) had made a semi-permanent port in Tarpon Springs, Fla, after 5 years of sailing around the Gulf of Mexico. These are tourists shops, yet I like the look of them. But most of all, I love the light!

One more comment about this one. I enjoy looking at your work for a long time because I discover details. As I looked longer I noticed the attention you paid to the physical demeanor of the ladies in the forefront. For example, the slight slouch of the lady on the left, and the position of her body that indicates a certain age, and how the figure on the right contrasts with her; the right hand lady is a different body-type and appears younger. That you give so much information in your work while honoring the brush stroke and the paint takes me back to Impressionism...I like it!

Thank you so much, Joyce & you're right on! The taller woman is my Wife and the shorter is old enough to be her mother, and also one of her best friends.

Yes, I am enjoying browsing your galleries...I wish this site had a "like" button, so I could agree with some of the other well-written comments! I also think YOU come through in your work. Technique, to me, is only part of what makes "good" art...I am getting to know something about you, at least I think so! All the best.
