I laid out the palette/characters, then let unconscious self do most the painting... I write in much the same way.
About Charles Munn
Short Bio: As a teen, I toyed with sculpting, but painting took over. I worked with, and learned from some very good artists. Became a full time painter in 1977. Still at it and will probably continue until I die. Each of my prints (Giclees) are limited to 10 editions. Long Bio: Sketching people and places is a natural, childlike thing. Yet, unlike most children, I couldn't give it up. Thank you, Jim! I'm probably not as gifted, but Like you, I too love abstracts. In fact, many of the under paintings of representation work that I've sold, dating back to the 1960's, are abstracts. I've only recently found the courage to display the abtrracted under paintings. :o)
